Fall is my favorite time of the year. By the end of summer I am so done with being hot and sweaty and living in a bubble saved by air conditioning. I don’t know about you, but the thought of leggings, sweaters, boots and scarves makes my heart sing to the wonderful jazz music that I associate with this time of the year.
In our house, this will be the first year that our little munchkins really understand what Halloween is and are really getting into the spirit of things. This year Elsa has decided she wants to be Cinderella. She loves the idea of a beautiful princess riding in a sparkly carriage with gigantic horses pulling her around everywhere. We don’t have the heart to tell her yet that there will be no carriage or horses, but I’m sure she won’t mind. Cooper is obsessed with Paw Patrol and has decided he wants to be Chase. Bless his heart, he thinks he will be a full-blown dog for the day and can run around on all fours and rub up against unsuspecting neighbors as they walk by.
As for the hubby and I, we absolutely love decorating for this time of the year. The haunting look that our house takes on, the beautiful colors that come out in the trees and flowers and our all time favorite: crackling fires in the fireplace.
I will follow-up with pictures as the decorating progresses, but for now, here are some pics from Halloween’s past…
