Mother’s Day is right around the corner, can you believe it? As the winter season seems to be getting longer, Mother’s Day always seems to mark the end of the dark and the beginning of the light. It always seems like mom’s are given a decent weather day and as far as the eye can see, everyone is out and about buying plants and working or picnicking outside.
If the weather Gods shine upon us this year, I plan to be picnicking or gardening myself. Or both. What the hell? It’s my day, right?
I put together a list of great Mother’s Day gift ideas. Some can be last minute while others may need to be ordered right away to get them on time. Enjoy!
Craftsy Unlimited. I have written about Craftsy in a previous favorites post so you may be familiar with who they are. Crafty is basically online crafting college. There is a class on how to do everything! Baking, crocheting, knitting, cake and cookie decorating. It’s truly amazing. Not only do they have online classes, but they also sell any supplies needed for DIY crafts. They are running a free trial of Craftsy Unlimited. What is Craftsy Unlimited? It is your key to DIY heaven! If you sign-up for their unlimited option, (you don’t have to, you can purchase individual classes as well and have access to them forever!), you can watch any and ALL classes that they have to offer whenever you want! Told you it was amazing!
Farmhouse Decor from antiquefarmhouse.com. This is one of my favorite sites for farmhouse decor. They have just about everything and the inventory is always changing. Their pricing is amazing! Items do sell fast so if you see something for mom (or yourself) throw it in your cart and run!
The kids and I strolled into Paper Source the other day and I’m always sucked into their displays. They sell some of the cutest items and I couldn’t help doing some of my own Mother’s Day shopping while I was there (I let the kids pick out a few things so they could have some fun). They have created some super cute Mother’s Day bundles for either $30 or $45 that are available in store or online. My favorites were the Sip and Savor Bundle (what a surprise) and the Owl Always Love You Bundle because it so darn adorable! They have a crazy cute bundle that is out of stock online, but if you have a store close to you, give them a call to see if they have it in stock. It’s the Tea Time Bundle. It’s so timeless and precious. The tea cup could be passed down when the time comes! (Just incase you were wondering, I did purchase one!) The kids picked out this super cute Pom Pom Tote to “wrap my gift in”. They are so my children!
The Sill is an amazing site that has some really fun plants that any mom would love! We have purchased plants from here before and they ship quickly, come packaged very well, have a decent price point, and have multiple purchasing options (with/without a pot, etc.). They have some great succulents (we bought the heart shaped one!) as well as some all-time favorites like Aloe and Ferns. When you receive your plants, the amazing folks at The Sill include direction on how to take care of your specific type of plant-when to water, when to transplant, best spot inside the house or outside.
I hope this helps you out if you have been stuck on what to purchase for your momma (or treat yourself!). Treat her well and have an amazing Mother’s Day!
