Bacon and Cheese pumpkin Spread – Day 10!

Day 10 is mine and my husband’s 8th wedding anniversary!  My wonderful sister is babysitting and we are going out!

I thought I’d make her and the kids a little snack to munch on while they wait for their pizza.  This would be great spread across toasted bread or with crackers.


1 – 8 oz package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup canned pumpkin (or fresh puree)

1/2 t seasoned salt

1/4 t black pepper

6 slices crispy bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese

1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts

1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions

1. In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese, pumpkin, seasoned salt and black pepper on medium speed 2 minutes or until creamy.

2. Add bacon, cheese, walnuts and green onions.  Stir until combined. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes to blend flavors.  Serve on toasted baguette or crackers.

The bacon and walnuts add a nice crunch and the pumpkin brings a tad of sweetness to the cream cheese.

I could see this being pretty amazing on a bagel too…
